1st Annul Lobster Season Opener Tournament

The tradition has started, as part of Redondo Dive & Tackles grand opening, the Lobster Season Opener Tournament was a success. Between 9pm and 2:30am we had loads of entries with some massive bugs. The started out small and just kept getting bigger and bigger up to the monster 9.0lb winner caught by Kat Orr @katbfaith freediving from shore. There were multiple categories including diving (apnea or SCUBA) from shore or from boat as well has hoop netting from shore or from boat. The hoop net categories were a steal with just as many contenders as placings so if you hoop netted from shore you automatically placed, a reminder to not get discouraged with small bug entries because you never know if you were the only one on the money or not. We had free swag to back up the raffle prizes, prizes for placing along with some some mouth watering tacos from The Chicken Shack and all the lobster you could eat with lots of entries being donated right to the grill, Thanks again to everyone that showed up and especially all our divers and hoop netters, we look forward to seeing everyone next year!
